  Dear Parents - First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are very special journeys in the faith life of your child. It's also a busy year for your family but we know you and your child will emerge from this special year with renewed faith and closer to the Sacraments. We offer a "heart knowledge and head knowledge" program to help your child grow in faith and in their relationship with Jesus. It is our deepest honor to journey with you.
  DID YOU KNOW?
  Families desiring their child(ren) to celebrate the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist the child(ren) must be baptized and have completed first-grade Religious Education classes (or attended Catholic school in the first grade). Questions? Please contact the Religious Education Office; we are always happy to assist you!
  
  First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion Basic Requirements:
  All children have been baptized
  Have completed First Grade Religious Education
  Families are registered parishioners
  Attend Family Masses and Activities
  Completed First Reconciliation and First Eucharist workbook
  
  **Please note** - Home Study is not an option for 2nd grade (Sacrament year) students.
  
  First Reconciliation:
  Parent First Reconciliation Meeting:   Wednesday, October 2; 10am OR 7pm; Red Barn/Salemi Hall.
  First Reconciliation Workbook:  Monday, December 2 (please place in gray plastic bin outside of the Rel Ed Office).
  
  First Reconciliation: To be determined.
  
  First Eucharist:
  Parent First Eucharist Information Meeting: Wednesday, January 8; 10am OR 7pm; Red Barn/Salemi Hall.
  First Eucharist Retreat:  March 2, 2025 (ONE parent and child(ren).  We begin with Family Mass at 11:30am, followed by a luncheon (Barn/Salemi Hall) and then enjoy a special guest speaker and faith filled activity for you and your child (Church).
  First Eucharist Banner:  Sunday, March 2, 2025.
  First Eucharist Workbook: Sunday, March 2, 2025.
  
  For all First Eucharist Families
  The Sacrament of First Eucharist will take place in the Spring after Easter Sunday, during the Easter season.   It will be a one-hour (regular) Mass for our First Eucharist families. Families will attend a First Eucharist Rehearsal where important information will be shared and children will rehearse for the First Eucharist Mass.
  
  First Eucharist Mass celebrations will take place on the following days:  Dates to be determined.
